MRI

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a non-intrusive imaging technique that generates highly detailed three-dimensional anatomical images, employed in the detection of diseases, diagnostic purposes, and the ongoing monitoring of treatment progress.

CT

Computed Tomography (CT) is a computerised X-ray imaging method where a focused X-ray beam swiftly orbits around a patient, capturing signals that are then processed by a computer to create cross-sectional images, known as “slices.” The machine collects multiple successive slices, which can be digitally combined to construct a three-dimensional (3D) image of the patient, facilitating the identification of anatomical structures and potential abnormalities, including tumors.

Ultrasound

Ultrasounds has two main roles: diagnostic and therapeutic. Diagnostic ultrasound uses high-frequency sound waves to create images inside the body, aiding in the visualization of organs and structures. Therapeutic ultrasound, on the other hand, employs high-frequency sound waves to interact with tissues, allowing for non-invasive procedures like heating, dissolving blood clots, or targeting and destroying abnormal tissues, such as tumors, all without the need for incisions or scarring.

General X-Ray

X-Rays, a potent form of electromagnetic radiation, can penetrate the body, creating images of internal structures. These images, called radiographs, are crucial for medical diagnosis. Modern detectors, including digital ones, have replaced photographic film for capturing X-rays.
